And have you been successful? Would you recommend trying this for a smoker who has been smoking a pack a day for 7 years?

I am so out of shape but I know smoking is not helping me want to exercise because of the out of breath feeling. I **** that feeling, and know I have to lose weight. So smart idea to do that first. It will be hard. I am thinking of having my friend email me stuff asking me how my breathing is going. She’ll do it and be nasty about since she hates smoking. That’ll **** me off cuz I’ll think that she will believe I am failing.

I smoke about a pack a day or a little less depending on what I do that day. Some days I may only smoke 2-5 cigs. I’m just wondering what is best: patches, pill, lozenge, etc.

I have the willpower but would like some help with it.

My mom has been smoking forever, and she has the most stressful situation, she has a daycare. But she don’t smoke with the kids there. However, she has the beginnings of Emphysema they found a spot on her lung (I hope to God it is nothing-please pray for her)- but she needs to quit smoking RIGHT AWAY. Please tell me the best way to advise her to quit smoking.

i have tried running after i quit smoking, and that didn’t work out too well. I found myself at a great shortness of breath. Will my running help me improve to be able to run the required 1.5 miles. And if not does anyone have any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.
