trevor k on 13 January, 2009 at 5:11 pm #

The more tar in them but you will still good to quit because the more energy after time but it just gets worse.

Jamie on 14 January, 2009 at 1:44 am #

Takes 10 years for your lungs to get back to condition it was in prior to smoking. If you want to quit, start now.

Eddie on 16 January, 2009 at 6:02 pm #

Just stop and hopefuly they will go back to normal.. or slowly stop liek a pack a day to half a pack.. then slowly decreasing to a stop, it will be easier for you.

JKZ15 on 17 January, 2009 at 2:50 pm #

I was watching opera the other day with Doctor Oz. And It takes about 5 years to turn back to normal. Plus you shouldn’t have started :

Deacon the Beacon on 19 February, 2009 at 1:39 am #

Good luck - your lungs would much prefer to be punched than have tar poured into them.

Kevin G on 21 February, 2009 at 6:35 am #

Yes, if u do, your body will naturally heal itself…your body iz pretty amazing…so yah, your body will… depending on how long u have smoked, your body will heal in like, 3 or a little more months, or may b less…

~mormon~gurl~ on 21 February, 2009 at 11:15 am #

they wont automatically become healthy…….if thats what you mean……..also if you do ……less chance of heat disease, lung cancer and you wont die as soon…!

beez on 24 February, 2009 at 1:15 am #

The exsmoker is as someone who has never smoked within several years after quitting show the risk of these risks and coronary diseases are equal to that of the exsmoker is as someone who never smoked but also the risk of these risks.

Yes, usually within 6 months your lungs will heal themselves, give or take depending on how much you smoke, how much your lungs have been affected, how quickly your body is to recover and any other relevant health factors.
