I have smoked a pack a day for a year. I always smoke full flavor and I’m wondering if I cut down to lights, then cut down on my amount if this would be easier and easier. Did nicotine patches work?

Also, which is a better aid to help them stop. Does the nicotine patch do well or not?

This is the third time I’ve quit smoking for an extended period of time. Each time, there has been little or no withdraw symptoms. Are some people not as prone to nicotine addiction?

I am 30 years old and have smoked since I was 14. I’ve made efforts to quit but in retrospect, they were half-assed at best. I’ve placed my last unopened pack on the mantle and would like it to stay there, sealed in cellophane for all eternity.

Does anybody have any tricks, suggestion, encouragement, or any manner of advice on how to avoid stress-related cravings and nicotine withdrawal. I prefer to go about this without patches, gum, and other such replacements.

Has anyone else been successful at quitting using these and did you use any other tricks to help you? I need all the help and advice I can get!! Thanks!

I want some success stories from those who have quit smoking. I have just completed my first smoke free weekend and while I am glad I am doing this, it *****. I am irritable, have not slept well since Friday night and feel horrible. I am thinking about getting some nicotine replacement. Has that helped any one else?

Thanks
Matt

I have had it with my smoking, I’ve paired it down to as little as 5 smokes a day unless I am in a social setting. I used to enjoy it, however now it just makes me feel sick afterward and tired. I don’t have money to spend on expensive drugs and I think that using nicotine patches isn’t a good idea seeing that they have the addictive quality in them. I want to quit but to do it naturally. Any suggestions?
