I cut back from smoking a pack or so a day to smoking 1 or 2 cigarettes every couple of days.

Basicaly it has been about 2 months 3 at tops. After the first week of not smoking in the morning I would feel somthing in my chest. Then i’d cough up some flem and inside the flem there is specs of brown. It hasnt gone away still but has slightly improved.. Is this me spitting up tar or is this dry blood? Shoudl I go to the doctor is this normal?

what do i say or do? We are fairly close, but its still a new relationship and we are co-workers. He is only 3 days clean…I want to support him in any way I can…what do i say if he relapses?
