I quit smoking cold turkey, and i am now on my 5th non smoke day. And i STILL feel like crap. I’m always tired, irreitable, and still craving. I read nicotine is out of the sysyem in 48 hrs so when am i going to start feeling better??? I think a couple of puffs would make me feel better.
I have been through rehabilitation and detox but I have friends that continue to smoke and I wonder if it is possible to quit without treatment or assistance.
My smoking is pretty bad. I started in 2004 @ age 19 as a social smoker, now I’m hitting 2 packs a day.
When I quit I want to go to sleep for 8-9 hours so that my body will have a head start on getting it out of my system. BUT, I dread how my body will react. Any idea of what it’ll be like?
I’ve tried to quit smoking going cold turkey and with the gum. The longest I’ve quit is about 2 months, it *****!
I’m sorry to hear of your guys’ loss of family. Thank you all for the tips.

I quit smoking cold turkey about a year ago. But even now I still think about just lighting one up and smoking it. Its hard not to smoke when I drink but I have been doing a good job. Will I have this craving for the rest of my life?
